It will mark their first meeting since the 2024 Final Four.

The game will air nationally on ION, with tipoff set for 6:30 p.m. CT. Ron Thulin will be joined on the call by WNBA Champion Fran Harris and Naismith Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman, with former Wings guard Tiffany Bias-Patmon reporting.

The Wings (4-12) have won three of their last four, including a 68-55 victory over the visiting Atlanta Dream on Tuesday night. It was a career-highlighting game for newly acquired center Li Yueru, who finished with 10 points and a career-best 15 rebounds. Arike Ogunbowale posted a team-high 21 points in the win. The Fever (7-8) are coming off an 85-75 home setback to the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday night. Indiana was without Clark, who was ruled out prior to the game due to a left groin injury. Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever with 20 points against LA.

The Wings will face a quick turnaround as they will host the Washington Mystics on Saturday at 7 p.m. CT at College Park Center in Arlington. It marks Dallas’ first back-to-back series of the season.

Notable Storylines

Attendance Records On The Line … The Wings announced a sellout, their fifth of 2025, for Friday’s Indiana Fever game at American Airlines Center. With a capacity crowd of over 20,000 expected, Dallas would set a franchise regular-season attendance record. Additionally, it would be the highest attendance for a WNBA game played in the state of Texas, with neither the Houston Comets nor San Antonio Silver Stars ever reaching the 20,000-attendance mark. Only seven regular-season games have had at least 20,000 people in attendance in WNBA history, only nine including playoff games.

Bueckers-Clark History… All eyes will be on the Paige Bueckers – Caitlin Clark showdown on Friday. The two faced off twice in college when Bueckers was at Connecticut and Clark at Iowa. They first met in the 2021 NCAA Sweet 16, with UConn scoring a 92-72 win. Bueckers had 18 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, while Clark had 21 points, three rebounds and five assists.  Their most recent meeting came in the 2024 Final Four, with Iowa winning 71-69. Bueckers had 17 points, four rebounds and three assists, while Clark posted 21 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.

Last Week at a Glance … The Wings went 2-1 last week with wins over the Golden State Valkyries and at the Connecticut Sun. Dallas led the league in rebounding (39.7) and free-throws made (21.7), and finished fifth in scoring (84.7), assists (20.7) and steals (9.0). Paige Bueckers led the way with 20.3 points, 5.3 assists and 2.3 steals. Arike Ogunbowale had her second-highest scoring output of the season with 27 points on Sunday at Washington.

Bueckers Benchmark … With Sunday’s 20-point, nine-rebound, seven-assist showing at the Washington Mystics, Paige Bueckers reached the 200-point, 50-rebound, 50-assist mark fastest in league history, doing so in just 11 games.

Change of Scenery … The Wings traded for center Li Yueru on June 14 with Yueru making her Dallas debut on Tuesday against the Golden State Valkyries. In four games with the Wings, Yueru is averaging 7.3 points and 7.3 rebounds, including a career-high showing of 15 rebounds in Tuesday’s win over the Atlanta Dream. Over nine games with the Seattle Storm this season, she was averaging 2.8 points and 1.6 rebounds.

Top Of The Class … Dallas Wings rookie guard Paige Bueckers is in a class of her own. She leads all first-year players in scoring (17.7), assists (5.8) and steals (1.8), while listing fourth in blocks (0.8) and rebounding (4.7). Should the stat lines hold, Bueckers would be the first rookie in league history to average at least 15 points, five assists and two steals per game.

Rookies Continue To Wow … Aziaha James posted career highs in points (17), rebounds (5) and assists (5) in Friday’s win at the Connecticut Sun. James and fellow first-year guard Paige Bueckers are two of just three rookies in the WNBA this season to record a 15-point, 5-rebound, 5-assist game, with Bueckers doing so four times.
